Expert Profile:
Fu Xiao is an associate professor and doctoral advisor at the School of Earth Sciences, Zhejiang University. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Hong Kong in 2014 and conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Wollongong, Australia, from 2015 to 2018. His main research focuses on the methodology of optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) dating and its applications in Quaternary paleoenvironment, geomorphology, surface processes, and archaeology. He has conducted fieldwork and research in arid regions of northern China, arid zones of Australia, the Tibetan Plateau, and Southeast Asia. He has published more than twenty papers in journals such as Quaternary Science Reviews, Quaternary Geochronology, Geomorphology, and Nature Geoscience. In 2023, he was selected for a national-level young talent program. He is the principal investigator of a General Program funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and a project under Zhejiang Province’s High-Level Talent Support Program. He serves as a Steering Committee member of the International Luminescence and Electron Spin Resonance Dating Association (ILEDA) and as a reviewer for journals including Nature Communications and Quaternary Science Reviews.
